AC-DC TRANSFORMER
Transformer

Introduction

In the transformer method, the input AC voltage is first reduced to an appropriate AC voltage using a transformer. This is AC/AC conversion, and the voltage stepped down in this way is set according to the turns ratio of the transformer.
Next, the AC voltage stepped down through the transformer is full-wave rectified in a diode bridge rectifier and converted into pulsating DC.
And, finally, it is the most orthodox AC/DC conversion method that outputs DC voltage with small ripples by smoothing it through a condenser.

Features

A switching power source that is essential for electronic devices.
Switching power supplies are widely used, and there are many different circuit types for these switching power supplies.
Flyback, Forward, Push Pull, Half Bridge, Full Bridge.
Depending on each circuit method, it is classified according to various purposes such as cost, external dimensions, and conversion efficiency.

Applications

SMPS, Buck Regulator, Buck Boost, Flyback Regulator.
